Bergan Travel opened for business on August 1, 1975, in downtown Thief River Falls, MN. Bob and Annette Bergan began with a staff of 2 agents in their office. In the years following, they escorted groups to Africa, Europe, China, Asia, and the Amazon to name a few. In 1999, Bob and Annette sold Bergan Travel, but the same philosophy of personal service combined with the latest technology has been preserved in our business.

Since the beginning, Bergan Travel has been ahead of its time. It was the first agency in this area to be automated with computers. When Frontier Airlines was the local host carrier, Frontier used Bergan Travel as a “model office” to demonstrate computers to other agencies from all over the Midwest. Even today, the Bergan Travel staff attends training sessions all over the world. We are constantly visiting new destinations, continuing our education and research of hotels, cruises and emerging locations to serve you even better.

We are a proud member of the ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents), CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association), and are recognized as an MLT star for excellence in leisure travel.
